Great Place to Work and FORTUNE have honored Castle & Cooke Mortgage as one of the 2018 Best Workplaces in Financial Services & Insurance.
The ranking is based on the experiences of employees, and the process considered input from more than 76,000 employees in the industry. Castle & Cooke Mortgage placed eighth on the Best Small to Medium Sized Companies list.
“It’s often said that a company is only as good as the people who work there, and I couldn’t agree more,” said then-President and COO, Adam Thorpe. “We focus on hiring the best and brightest in our industry and then reminding them how valuable they are by listening to their feedback, rewarding them for their achievements, and providing them with the tools and resources they need to excel. When our employees succeed in their individual roles, our company succeeds as a whole.”
Great Place to Work, a research and consulting firm, evaluated more than 50 elements of team members’ experiences on the job. These included pride in the organization’s community impact, belief that their work makes a difference, and feeling their work has special meaning.
“Great Place to Work is proud to have these Best Workplaces show that maximizing human potential creates a great workplace and drives business performance,” said Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. “Organizations like Castle & Cooke Mortgage set the bar for other Financial Services and Insurance companies, proving that if you invest in your people, they will invest in you.”
Company culture at Castle & Cooke Mortgage is built on helping homeowners realize the benefits of homeownership by creating the best possible home loan experiences in the business. The entire company is driven by this goal of creating better futures, and leadership recognizes high achievers often.
The leadership team also keep things fun by touring the office each Friday with the Castle Cart, a treat cart that jump-starts the weekend. Employees earn prize points for getting outdoors and being active, and they engage with their communities through the company’s volunteer program.
